Queen Street Place

Design of an eight floor student accommodation in the heart of Galway city. Area within scope: 10,240 sq. meters.

Designfolk Consultants was contracted by Elkstone Partners to design a best-in-class student accommodation development with premium amenities, including generous communal social spaces that encourage interaction and wellbeing, lounge areas, a study/private dining room, group and individual study booths, a cinema room, a games area, a gym, and rooftop terraces with stunning views over Galway Bay. The eight accommodation floors contain eight different apartment types, totaling 345 bedrooms, including 17 accessible bedrooms. Each apartment features spacious ensuite bedrooms, a fully equipped shared kitchen, living and dining area, and superfast Wi-Fi throughout.

Our brief was to create an innovative and dynamic interior environment that supports students and to provide an inviting, hotel-like atmosphere to drive the summer short stay market.
