Design of a 1465 sq. meter CAT B Commercial Office space base in the Dublin Docklands.

The open-plan office was designed to foster collaboration and flexibility with an array of meeting and private working spaces including huddle zones, hot-desk areas, large central breakout areas, large and small private meeting rooms, workstations that include sit-stand desks in each row and a large canteen area which doubles up as an informal meeting point.

Natural light was maximised throughout by placing all workstations at the perimeter of the floorplate and keeping the office and enclosed rooms close to the central core. Our client wanted us to capture the essence of the Docklands and link the interiors to the surrounding locality. One way we have incorporated this was to bring in a local artist and commission three large murals that reflect the local architecture and landscape. Another was the inclusion of planting and materials such as brick, metals and feature elements such as neon signs and moss walls throughout the space, this again mirrors the feeling of the neighbourhood.
